Greetings Everyone, There are a few of us Super Minx owners out here. I bought a 1964 Super Minx Mk.II three years ago and I couldn't be happier. In Australia the market has been flooded by recycled coke cans (Jap cars) but there are a few of us here that refuse to buy these sh*t boxes. OK, I know they are faster and have less chance of being towed home, but it's a question of "Class", and the modern cars just don't cut it.

I know the feeling...
i might have to spend more in petrol than my work colleagues but I am sure I enjoy my
drive to work a hell of a lot more than they do every day

Hi guys, As a recent Super Minx Estate owner I am still wondering why I never bought one earlier, having just retired it is prooving invaluable as a Classic show entrant and a worthwhile work horse, I am told that there is only ten of these estates left on UK roads, can anyone confirm this? Any info will be most helpfull Best regards Dave B.

yeah my sceptre is great, everyone loves having a go in it...
i had a hunter estate before and it was an amazing piece of kit when it came to moving stuff about...
(rip LHC 908K)
what makes me enjoy my car so much is the fact that people with cars that cost 10 times as much probably dont get half the stares or looks...

I know the Singer Vogue Estate is in short supply, the last figure I heard was that there were only four left on the road.
As to regards the Superminx Estate, you would have to confirm it with the Rootes club. There is more than likely a 'Historian' who keeps a register of these cars. Ten seems a bit light to me at present though.
In general though all the classic estate are good workhorses and can be shown at the same time, and it is nice to see them at all the shows.
Good luck with the car.

Hi Nick
Yes they did produce a Singer Vogue Estate prior to the 'Arrow' shape.
I've seen three of them, one at Quainton Railway Museum in Bucks about three years ago, that was in dark green. One parked behind me at Thornfalcon show a couple of years ago. The third one is residing in North Devon and I see it at shows in the West Country, that one is dark blue.
I'll have to go through my pics and see if I can find at least one and post them on the site.

Just caught up with this one. I have a 1966 Vogue Estate Mk IV here in New Zealand. it is my belief that only about 4 of these came to NZ, but unable to verify. So there should be still more than 4 in UK i would have thought. Routes built about 10,000 Mk IV's in Sedan and estate between `66 and `67, and presumably about 10% would have been Estates. So where are they all???
