Chassis data plate

I am looking into having the data plate reprinted for my Series II, (unless anyone knows if they are already available?). This is the plate riveted to the bonnet slam panel. I am having difficulties reading some of the information. Does anyone have a good one they could post a picture of?

Thanks

Roger

Excellent thank you.

I wonder what that number at the very bottom of the plate means? I've also got a number but in addition on that line mine also reads ' BW 35 Automatic' because mines an automatic.

Thanks

Roger

If u mean the 1,216,444 Roger I assume it's a build number. I could be wrong though.

Interestingly, I just checked another photo of a plate from a different car and that has the same number, 1,216,444, so it's obviously not a build number. The number on my plate is 1,217,826. The only other difference on my plate is for the gearbox oil which reads 'Shell Donax T6 , All Temperatures' but that would be because mines an automatic.

Roger

What year is your car Roger? And what year was the car with my matching number?

Mine is registered December '62 and according to the DVLA the other one was registered March '64, (although it has a 'pre-reg' number and I thought this meant the car had to be earlier than'63?).

No mate mines a pre reg as u can see and mines registered early 64. So around the same time as the matching car u mentioned so maybe the number is related to the build age somehow.
