Got my nice new alternator from Hillmart in readiness for conversion on my MK1. Got a good clear wiring diagram with it too to ditch the dynamo.
Now I realise I've got to convert to Neg Earth, but what dash instruments do I need to reverse polarity on (forget the clock...that hasn't worked EVER !) Olly Steward Sceptre 511 did kindly advise me sometime ago, but I lost his email !! So any ideas please.....don't want any nasty "dashboard BBQ's !"

Ive done this on two Hillman Imps and didnt have to change anything behind the dash , as you say some clocks are +earth only so that will have to go as well as the radio if it cant be converted , ( usually says on it inside ). Other than that nothing i know of , should all work fine , ive never had any problems , Make sure you get the correct plug and holding clip for the alternator as well as suitable cable , oh and solder all the crimps dont just crimp em on , I work for Lucas auto electrical ( rewind div ) so i know about these things ( but not much else
