has anyone got a towbar for a mk 11 sceptre they would like to sell or even plans on what one looks like so i could make one. cheers rich.

I saw one fitted to a mk1 and it appeared to be two metal plates that bolted on behind the bumper irons and then a large piece of angle across between them,if you look under you valance from the back (if its standard still) you will see some holes that dont go right through, mine has these and im presuming (as they have tubes in the middle) that these would be for bolting somethignto the outer valance such as a towbar

Our MK1 has one fitted, Ill try and get a photo for you at some point.

Nick is quite right! I looked at the towbar on our MK1 today, the bolts go right through those tubes he is talking about. Finally ending up behind the valance being bolted to a very sturdy looking bracket. It looks like the original towbar may have been an optional extra offered when the car was new. As Mark [segasceptre] said we will try and get a few photos for you although this maybe some time as we only work on the car once a fortnight .
