Hi Rusty nuts, Have taken the door panel off. But think the whole winding mechanism will have to come out, because behind the spindle that the winder fits on cannoy be seen, and it appears to be slipping in that area . Can push the window down , with the door open and then the mechanism engages , the same applies for closing it.. Not sure what it can be , Thanx

hi mate, if you can manually push the window down then the chacnes are it has stripped the gears inside the mechanism for the part where the window can be moved freely.. hate to say it but you can either get someone to strip it and weld the teeth up (tricky but can be done) and take it gently in future with it as the rebuilt teeth wont be quite as hard or you can try and source a second hand one... wish I had better news for you

Nick

Hi Nick, Thanx for your quick response, Amazing. Not the end of the world, realize it can be fixed a bit messy. Maybe there is a repair kit available??. Will investigate the possibility of making up the teeth. Still looking for another Alternator Bracket, not mobile at the moment without one lol. thanx again, Degsie.
