hi my mk 11 sceptre has a 1725 engine with a 4.22 diff can any one tell me what revs they are doing at 60mph in fourth with the overdrive on, as i am at 4 thousand revs, just not sure if its high. had to rely on sat nav for speed as speedo says im doing 80 any info would be great cheers rich

Hi, your speedo would be correct for the revs you're doing, (see below, albeit for the Mk1 1600) can't see the ratios really being any different for the Mk2 1725, so either your speedo and your rev counter are both out or your sat-nav is knackered, just get a mate to pace you down the road for half a mile while you hold yours at 50 and see what his speedo reads (allowing for a slight variation) at least then you'll know whether it's your speedo/rev counter or your sat nav that's out then

thanks for the info have fitted a aftermarket rev counter ( well tried two to be sure ) turns out the original is reading 1000 rpm higher than the new ones and is now more in line with sat nav and the info you supplied but speedo is still reading fast.
