Hi all.
I would like to fit some wider alloy wheels to my Mk2 Sceptre for some better handling. Am i correct in thinking that the stud pattern on my car is the same as four stud Fords?
Also, my overdrive isnt wired up (i bought it this way) does anyone have an overdrive switch for sale please? If not, can i use any other type of switch?
One more thing, (sorry about this) my battery keeps going flat. As i know nothing about auto electrics could anyone tell me if there is an easy test to see if its being drained by something in/on the car?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Steve.
By the way, my car is on the Rootes 1725 home page. Its the maroon Mk2, RLM 24E.

What sort of wheels are you after as our spares sceptre (mk2) has genuine dunlop alloys with the centre caps on and these will be for sale .

Im not after anything in particular. Just wanted to fill the arches out a bit and give it a nicer stance/better handling. (Im keeping my standard wheels so i can go back to original anytime)
Ive been offered some alloys and tyres for £50 ono. They are 4 spoke ford RS style but im not 100% sure if they fit. How much do you want for your wheels?
Regards,
Steve.

We are looking for around £100 if they go to a fellow humber owner otherwise they go on ebay . Ford rims should fit as I have been told they are the same pcd so my dunlops should also fit a ford .

Thanks for the offer :-) To be honest though it would work out an expensive purchase. After driving to and from Norwich to collect them it would work out about £140 so i reckon ill plump for the ford alloys. They need a coat of paint but they are in good condition otherwise. Tyres are all 5mm tread too so its a very cheap set of wheels at £50. Not as nice as your Dunlops but they should look ok.
