A few querys...

Post by SegaSceptre » Sun Jan 18, 2009 8:43 pm

Hi, I just needed to find out a few things. First of all, the fuel gauge doesnt give a reading. We dont think the sender is at fault but what else could be wrong as it worked when the car was put in the garage? Also does anyone know of a good towing service around the Welwyn Garden city area from which I can get a quote? I just need to get a rough idea how much it will cost for around a mile each way for when the car goes to get its welding done and springs changed.
Thanks in advance.

might be worth touching the wire on the tank to earth briefly see if it moves the needle at all....
if not bear in mind the mice might have been at work :(
obviously trying a substitute gauge is the obvious option for seeing if gauge is faulty (not sure but maybe the temperature gauge reads in the same range of voltage)
as to towing... sorry no idea on that as im up in the midlands, might be worth posting up on http://www.retrorides.com as theres a few on there that do vehicle moving..
I fix things!!
