Greetings
My name is Alan and I'm from Sydney Australia.
I've have admired the Humber Sceptre for quite a few years now but always considered getting one an unachievable goal as I was told that they were never imported into Australia.
I have however seen a few Sceptres around. Not very many but one or two.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me how many Sceptres are in Australia?
Also has anyone ani idea what a Sceptre is worth in Australia?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Alan

Re: Humber Sceptres in Australia
Hi Alan,
Humber Sceptres were never sold in Australia by Rootes, but quite a few have found there way here. I have a friend at Bega who sold a Mk1 last year, and another friend in Adelaide who has recently finished restoring a Mk3. Lawrie Bennett of the Queensland Humber club has a lovely Mk1, and I know another bloke up there with an equally nice Mk3.
They come up for sale from time to time - I know of 4 that have been offered in the last four years (including 2 in Sydney from the one owner), but know of none currently for sale. If you want one, you will probably have to wait and hunt around a bit. It would pay you to:
1) Join the Humber Car Club in Sydney (Phone: Ronnie De Britt, (02) 9747 1014.)
2) Join the Humber car Yahoogroup in Australia (I am the administrator of it - send an email to vichughes165@gmail.com and I will send you an invitation to join).
3) Keep an eye out in Just Cars (there was one in that about 2 years ago) and similar magazines.
Cheers,
Vic Hughes
