Hi all we went ahead with the oil cooler fitting which turned out to be a good thing as the friction plate had come apart . Cost was a lot more but now we have a different car , she goes and quickly . :D :D

Oil Cooler

Hi,

Am interested to know your reasons for fitting the oil cooler, also how did it improve performance?

I have a Holbay engined Sceptre which is just about to go back on the road was thinking about an oil cooler.

Thanks

Rea

Fitted the oil cooler as ours is an auto and all though we have a light caravan we did not want to take any chances of boiling the oil and ruining the gearbox . As it happens the box needed a rebuild when it was took apart to fit the oil cooler which we can trestify the difference , we now have a kickdown and a much quicker car .
