Newbie! Hello ! Advice Please

Hello, After many years of being without a Sceptre, (Where are you now - BRF 325E and FOL 56D ??) - I have taken the plunge and bought another... one slight niggle, the ignition light stays on after the ignition has been switched off, draining the battery in a couple of days, some body work to do also (another story) I have replaced the solenoid, and the earth connections have been cleaned and tightened, any ideas anyone?? does anyone remember my 'new' Sceptre, LFM 184D

I've had this on two occasions (2 different cars) Both times the contacts in the control box (Lucas RB340 in the Mk1, not sure about the Mk2) were corroded or seized (happens if the car's been left standing a while). You can try cleaning them or replacement boxes are available. Try http://www.speedyspares.co.uk .

Assume your D reg is a MK2 ? If so can you answer my glass query in the thread below this one ?
