Hi, does anyone know if the calipers are meant to be 'handed'? I have just refurbished the calipers on my MKII convertible but when refitting them I've found they are both identical. So on one side I have the bleed nipple on the bottom of the caliper and on one side it's at the top. They are the calipers that came off the car but it seems a bit odd particularly as the parts manual list a n/s and o/s part number!
Thank you.

That doesn't sound correct - I reckon someones fitted the wrong caliper at some stage . . .

They are handed, and the way to tell is that the bleed valve is always going to be on the top - otherwise bleeding the brakes would be impossible.
Hope that helps

Thank you, that confirms what someone else had told me.
