Has anyone bought any parts from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/GreenwoodAutoUK on Ebay or http://www.avpauto.co.uk/ (AVP Automotive as they are known online) ?
I was wondering if you could give me feedback on the quality of their items.
They seem pretty good, but I think they're mainly repros made in Germany, and some are made in Iran for the Hillman Arrow and Khodro Paykan vehicles.
Any ideas?

Re: Buying parts from GreenwoodAutoUK on Ebay
I have the feeling they might have had a lot of ex. Peugeot stock from a dealer, as they were selling some OEM bagged parts at one point. They even had some panels, which were too unusual to be pattern parts. Also, some brand new and rather expensive 1725 engine blocks (which I think were from Peugeot/Paykan era)
But the rest of it is all pattern stock. Multiple suppliers so hard to say much about the merit of individual pieces. I ordered a temp sensor which looks to be ok, a set of pushrods which looked like they were good second hand, and I had my eyes on some other stuff
There is a 'Humber Sceptre 3' fuel sender advertised, but it is incorrectly described as it only has one connection - Sceptres have two. I pointed this out to them but they ignored me - which isn't very impressive to be honest for anyone running a proper outfit.....
caveat emptor all round on anything old-car related these days.

I've just had confirmation that their parts are spot on, and well worthy of purchasing.

I still think they are a bit of a mixed bag, but we don't have much choice these days anyway...

I have bought a gasket set (copper) that was fine of english origin also a brake master cylinder no names on box but looked fine when stripped for checking and works fine as we all know things are slowly becoming more and more scarce,so dont throw anything away untill you have a replacement or can overhaul the original....some times it pays to buy an old car for spares ..space permitting as forgreenwood I have no problems with them

Yes, you are dead right, have to be very careful not to get rid of anything now, if nothing else so you know what you are trying to match. Super Minx/ Sceptre stuff must be even harder than Arrows now...
