Hello all, my old girl isn't happy at the mo, not idling, coughing spluttering backfiring etc, not good.
Above is a picture of my engine ( i know not very good ) but would someone be able to tell me the right firing order and which lead goes to which plug numbered 1 to 4.
many thanks
Dave

Hi there.
Firing order is 1342
I have a mk2 sceptre but it has the 1725cc engine.
Try your leads like this (using your picture numbers)
put your engine 1 to dizzy 3
engine 2 to dizzy 4
engine 3 to dizzy 2
and engine 4 to dizzy 1
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Steve.

Steve many many thanks, re done my leads as per your suggestion and as i have sorted teh timing out i have never heard her run so smooth.
Looks like my lunch hour will be spent driving through the countryside in the sunshine
It was so hard trying to find any resource which had firing order and then linking that to the dizzy so you have saved my time and money!!
