Hi all I bought a Humber Sceptre a couple of months ago and found that the rev counter isn't working, is it because they changed the points from the old ones to electronic ignition, would that be the reason?

The rev counter suddenly stopped working on my mk3 nearly bought a new rev counter for £80 then noticed front sidelights were not working either . ! traced fault back to a bad connection on the fuse box . been fine since !
