A bloke gave me some old Fram make filters a few years back, on the side it said all the cars it fitted the list was long, from Alegro to Escorts, 1100's.

The way i looked at it if any of these cars were of similar size engine i screwed it on. I've never had any problems.

Is it a canister filter or a screw-on?

I seem to recall the old standard Fram PH8A is a great fit for the screw-on.
Was used on American V8's in the 60's. Has plenty of capacity and should still be easy to find.

Dana

What ever filter you find make sure it has non return valve in (normally visible as a rubber flap behind the outer circumference of the holes in the filter) or they will drain down making for low oil pressure startups
I fix things!!
