Hi Gary, yes am so about, sadly financial commitments led to the foolish sale of the Humber and after a filed engine transplant by its new owner she disappeared off the radar, i still check ebay once a week incase she reappears but sadly nothing yet, her reg was MYN 95D

i bought this car (MYN95D)as a spares car for RLM24E from a old chap in Brakley in Oxfordshire
when i got it home It was far to good to break
I then sold RLM24E for about 500 or 600 pounds (wish I didnt)
I had the engine rebuilt with new pistons head reworked crank regrind ect
tin worm had got into the sill ends and that was all repaired by a ex rootes body chap(cheers Eddie mate)
then it had a bare metal respray
I sort of fell out of love with MYN 95D and sold it after all that work for about £800 (wish I didnt)
I then bought a dolomite Sprint with 37k original miles for £1800 (glad i did) and I still have that today with 43k miles
i have to say I do miss my old Sceptres and if i had space to keep them i wouldnt of let them go
funny how cheep classic cars were 15 years ago
I would love to see some pics of how the cars are now!

I put 50000 miles on her on that engine, had a headgasket go and did that, one clutch, but she was faultless apart from occasionally the oil pressure relief valve would stick on start up, eventually she was getting used less and less and i sold her to a chap called ben who drove her stock for a bit before pulling the engine and box to fit a Ford twin can and five speed unit ( why anyone would lose that overdrive is beyond me) he got it running in a fashion but the tin worm reared it's ugly head in the sills again and he flogged it on, salt forgetting i had always said i wild have her back if he sold it. According to dvla she is sat on sorn somewhere i just pray she's safe,
