hi ive got a humber Sceptre "extra special accessories" brochure and it lists "this accessory is made from dark green perspex and it fits snugly to the interior of the windscreen by unobtrusive clips providing protection from the sun glare price £4.5.0" but would love to see one and have one as my mk2 Sceptre is green

They did them for the Mark & Series Hawk & Super Snipe's. BUT they are rare as hens teeth. WE bought our Snipe in 2004 and have been looking for one ever since, we got one a couple of weeks ago on Ebay.
If you want to reduce the windscreen height, why not roof chop it like this minor?

Some would say you'd spoil it, others would say differently, depends who you talk to.

Hubby is roof chopping our 1953 Humber Hawk at the moment, in between all the other projects.

Hi there Sid. I have a 65 Mk1 Sceptre and have been able to obtain the type of visor you are looking for, second hand. I don't know what sort of car it came from originally however, and it was 40mm too narrow to fit between the roof gutters. I dismantled it and increased the width by the required amount which did not distract from its orignal. These visors come up occasionally on "Trade Me" here, but are getting few and far between. Transportation of these per post ect, is fairly difficult as they would have to have substantial packageing to arrive anywhere in one piece. I have a feeling that these visors were made here back in the 60's but not sure about that. I intend updating our Sceptre photo some time soon so you will see it there. Cheers and good luck - Bruce
