Boot full of spares MK 1 2 and 3

Post by dandaz » Tue Sep 26, 2006 7:29 pm

Hi

I have loads of spare trim panels/boxes of handles/front grills/lights/manifolds etc....

I don`t atually know where most of it goes but if you need anything send us a e mail at dandaz.ross@virgin.net

Also can you buy a new petrol tank anywhere?

Just welded mine up but would like a new one in the future...

tank help

Post by sceptre511 » Wed Sep 27, 2006 10:12 pm

Hi
I welded mine up a long time ago ,and it stll leaked even though the weld looked good.
I rinsed it out with celulose thinners ,left it to dry and then tipped in half a pint of hot fibre glass resin and swilled it about inside to cover any leak points, this has lasted 12 years !! of daily use.
Hope this helps.

Cheers buddy I might try that....

Also there is a product in Frost `s website that looks like it can do the job....

It`s certainly given my plenty to think about...

Cheers
