another newbie struggling!!

Hi all. Have recently bought a 1968 sceptre off e-bay. Yeh, I know what you are thinking, but this one is actually quite good with very little welding done and a good straight body with tidy interior. BUT I am having a problem with the overdrive. It engages ok, but once in the whole car vibrates until I switch the overdrive off. It does it in third and fourth. Normal gearchanges and drive are fine. i have had the overdrive unit off, stripped, cleaned, but could not physically see anything amiss with the clutch, planet gears etc. It is still the same having re-fitted it. Any ideas or am i just better trying to find another overdrive gearbox. Good forum by the way. Cheers Mark.

Ive no idea on your problem , but welcome anyway , im sure someone on here knows. maybe the operating lever needs adjusting ( if its possible )or its maybe got a valve fault . but hay i know nout about this so could be talking waffle.
