Sceptre 3 thermostat housing

Post by turbinecol » Thu Jul 10, 2008 7:33 pm

Dear friends,

Does anyone have a spare thermostat housing from an Arrow Sceptre/Hunter that they would be prepared to sell to me, please? It doesn't have to be new, but I am after one without sheared off bolts or cracks in the temperature sender boss!! Having a real struggle to get this thing water tight at the moment!

Any help much appreciated, thanks.

Why not go for one of known origin by contacting 'SPEEDY SPARES'. They are not that expensive and if anything is wrong with it you'll have a fallback.

Thanks John, unfortunately 'known origin' in this case means poor quality pattern parts that aren;t really up to the job (a big disappointment as I was assured they were original castings) - the bore of the thermo housing is so far off centre that there is insufficient sealing land to the edge of the casting, and it doesn't seal as a result. Not amused.
