Can any one help with some bits Mk2 Sceptre?

Post by gillberry » Wed Sep 20, 2006 9:53 pm

We have recently bought a 1966 Humber Sceptre mk2 and as usual now start to notice what you need to replace (well some of it was obvious) can any one help with our little list - front bumper, Sceptre wing badge e missing, "E" from the word humber on the boot, (not sure if the previous owner was on drugs as he has taken/lost the Essss  ) hub caps, heater as one of the brass pipes has broken off in the engine bay, clock and any recomendations for a replacement front carpet & a stainless exhaust at the moment that is all we have found hopefully not much more

Clock & Badge

Post by gillberry » Tue Sep 26, 2006 9:32 pm

hi
that would be great, it would be something off my wish list, is it me or is the humber chat very quiet, my other half has Rover SD1s & a granada estate and he always seem to be tapping away about something on their sites but the humber ones dont seem to be used much
thanks Jayne

GILLBERRY PARTS YOU REQUIRE

Post by RAYREES » Sun Oct 29, 2006 7:30 pm

HI GILLBERRY,

I AM SURE I WILL HAVE HUBCAPS YOU REQUIRE, I WILL HAVE A

TIME CLOCK FOR YOUR SCEPTRE. WILL WORK AND KEEP PERFECT

TIME AS IT HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO A QUARTS MOVMENT BY A

FRIEND OF MINE. YOU WONT FIND AN OLD ELECTRIC ONE THAT

WORKS , BECAUSE THE PROBLEM IS IF ANYTIME THE BATTERY

RUNS FLAT OR DISCONECTED YOU MUST START THE CLOCK

MANUALLY, IF NOT THE CLOCK WILL PACK UP AND IF IT DOSE

START UP IT WILL RUN ERRATIC.

ALL THE BEST

RAY
