new here and with a great find

Post by kevin » Sat May 11, 2013 7:08 pm

hi

new to the singer world but not to classic cars.
ive been looking for a suitable car to use and get back into classic car shows with.
so, dropped on this lady today.
she has been dry stored since 1989 but is in superb original condition. the paintwork needs a good cut back and polish but thats about it, the underside is as good as the topside and the interior is as good as my new mondeo!
dropped the oil and fuel today and replaced it. she started on the button.
the owner prior to me is a friend of my dads (83 y/0) and had the the car from 1967. it has 67k genuine on the clock.
since he has had the car he filled all the sill and other cavities with old engine oil, it has proved to be a great preservative!

thats i for now, i look forward to getting on your nerves asking questions..

Your car is a single tone Maroon. Should be easy enough to get some cellulose mixed. Colour code 70 - will be listed on the chassis plate, but that is the dark red listed for the mk2 vogue. There are several places on the internet you can get this, either in cans or in tins.
