humber sceptre mk2 rev counter

hi all i was wondering if any one can help? we recently changed the speedo head on my mk2 when we put it all back the rev counter stopped working there was a good earth we belived we must of damaged it. finding a second hand one we fitted it still not working went out in it left the car for a few hours, i noticed when we got back to the car the rev counter neddle was on 10000 revs on starting it up the rev counter worked. the rev counter worked for about 4 miles ( not reading the correct revs but working} then it packed up again. can any one hep

Hi I had a similar thing with my rev counter on my sceptre mk1 rev counter would start on 3000 revs then go upwards. I had it re-calibrated with JDO Eng and is working fine now. They have a web site www.jdo1.com
