i have a problem with the carb on my Gazelle Vi floods at different times, even after a new float needle vale and setting the float height.
when it floods the fuel comes out through the float chamber air vent.
any suggestions please.

Hi,
Have you checked the float to see if it has punctured and let fuel in? I had this happen to me on two different cars with the symptoms you mention.
Regards
Roger

Another possible thought, if the issue is intermittent, is rust in the fuel line blocking the float valve open.
Do you have a good (paper type) fuel filter installed?
Just a thought.

Hi and thanks for the replies.
have fitted a petrol filter and a new float and i noticed that the old float had worn quite a dent where it operates the needle valve and i wondered if tha could cause erratic operation of the float valve.
anyway time will tell ,ok so far.
