Exhaust downpipe for Rapier Fastback

Post by Roomsy » Sat Oct 11, 2008 3:17 pm

The downpipe on my '72 Rapier has split at the top (where the tubes meet the flange) and I need to get a new one! Any ideas? Are they the same on all arrows models or is it unique to the Rapier? Does anyone know someone who could fabricate one for me?

Hi, they do occasionally show up on ebaay - the important thing is to work out which Rapier you have - is it an early car with a box sitting under the front footwell, or a later car where there is just a straight pipe in this location? The angle and length of the downpipe changes slightly to suit. Let us know which date Rapier you have. The switch occurs around 1972 I think.
