anyone got any wheels and trims?

Post by rootesmadnick » Sat Mar 07, 2009 9:45 am

basically im after a full set of humber steelies and matching wheel trims as although the pug wheels fit and dont rub anywhere im sure its the cause of my heavy steering, and add to that the fact the wheel nuts dont sit nicely on them i think they are an accident waiting to happen,

so if you have anything PLEASE let me know..

PS I think they are different to hunter rims if memory serves as they are more rounded in the middle bits :D

Hi hi!
Full set Hunter steelies and Sceptre trims, some with good tyres!
All yours for £20 :D

NB. That's definitely the cause of steering problems, the Minx was on super-wide chav alloys when I bought it, you needed three weetabix in the morning to drive it like that!

hi nick, was hoping for some mk2 rims but ill bear you in mind mate..
the hunter rims are a lot squarer in design than the original mk2 rims..

Hi
I should have mentioned in my last reply, the wheels i have are Mk1 /2 wheels.
If the back spacing is wrong on your own wheels ,that will cause heavy stearing. You could check your wheels against a standard wheel,to see if they are wider on the inside the same amount as they are on the outside .Eg if they are 1" wider than standard ,they need to be 1/2" bigger on the inside and 1/2" on the outside. That'll reduce the extra effort needed when fitting bigger wheels.
Hope that makes sense !
cheers
