Post by Jarl Ayari » Tue Apr 07, 2009 8:43 pm

What size speaker do I need to fit the original speaker space on my Mk1?

Thanks

I believe most of these vintage car speakers were similar in size, but it's unlikely that you'll be able to get another. Best plan is to buy a modern 12cm round speaker and fashion some brackets to hold it in. This will perform better than the original too :D

Hi Rootesmadnick.

They should be the same as I dont the dash changed between Mk1 and Mk2

Hi Justanotherhigh.

I had thought of that, I am hoping tho that the speaker is the same insome early transistor portables I have or maybe even a late 60's roberts as they sound great...

Thanks
