1965 Sunbeam Alpine Series V The Ultimate Beach and Mountain cruiser, but you know that already... :D

4 cyl. Dual Carb. 1725 cc

Garaged 41 years (the last 22 in San Diego)

Engine rebuilt by aircraft mechanic (original screws replaced by stainless steel screws for example)

Maintained by high-performance mechanics specializing in off road, vintage, racing, sport and collectors' vehicles.

Recent Valve adjustment and dual carbs rebuilt. 4 speed standard stick.

Excellent performance, gets out of the gates fast. Pearl white beauty with original gold on black license plate.

All original owner's/mechanic's and parts manuals with receipts from mechanics, etc.etc. Parts are available from our San Diego mechanics' shops in 2 to 3 days.

PLUS a whole mechanics' chest full of spare parts and other larger spare parts included. :o

She refuses to act her age, so all the above maintenance precautions have proven unecessary.

She is a '65 4 banger vintage collectors' Alpine princess. James Bond drove one in "Dr No" because it was the only cool car on the island, and Elizabeth Taylor drove one in "Butterfield Eight". We've driven her up and down the coast here, and up on Palomar Mountain (altitude 6000 feet) she takes the winding roads like a champ; on such days she covers well over 150 miles without a hitch, and is fun to drive on mountain roads as well as cruising along the coast...she reminds us of old Porches or the old Fiat Pina Farina 850S . Moreover, don't forget there is an extra tranny, her original long crank for hand starting (!), and a huge mechanics' chest full of extra parts all organized in 6 drawers (we have never had to go looking for any parts in there so I don't remember) AND an extra windscreen, The mechanics chest is made of wood and is over 5' H X 2'W X 3' D ...heavy- on rollers. the drawers unstack easily.
Wemust add that, as in all Craigslist buying and selling, we will accept cash or cashier's check only... pick up in North County San Diego.
''Princess'' would stay with us forever if we had our "druthers" but maybe your place is her new castle.
Many thanks,
Elle & Paul
